1963 wurde der erste Teil des neuen Alfa Romeo-Werks in Arese in Betrieb genommen. Von diesem Zeitpunkt an wurden dort die Karosserien der Limousine und des Coupés des Tipo 105 produziert. Die Endmontage der Fahrzeuge wurde ebenfalls in Arese durchgeführt. Die Produktion der Motoren sowie der anderen mechanischen Komponenten befand sich zu diesem Zeitpunkt jedoch noch im alten Werk in Portello und wurde erst in den folgenden Jahren nach Fertigstellung weiterer Produktionsflächen nach Arese verlegt. Erfreulicherweise wurden viele der Produktionsabläufe der Tipo-105-Modelle in Arese und Portello in der Zeit von 1963 bis 1972 fotografisch festgehalten.

Diese überwiegend noch nie veröffentlichten Fotos sind nun die Basis für dieses einzigartige Buch. Ein Buch für jeden Markenenthusiasten, der gern sehen möchte, wie die Fahrzeugkomponenten und Fahrzeuge des Tipo 105 entstanden sind, die noch heute maßgeblich für den guten Ruf der Marke Alfa Romeo verantwortlich sind. In 1963 the first section of Alfa Romeo's new production and assembly plant in Arese became operational.

From then on the bodies of both the saloon and the coupé of the Tipo 105 would be produced there. Final assembly of the cars would also be carried out in Arese, although the engine and various other mechanical components were still made in the old works in Portello at that time. Production of these parts would be moved to Arese over the following years as shop floor space was completed and made available. Fortunately over the years much of the production process of the various Tipo 105 models in Arese and Portello was photographed. These photographs, for the most part published for the very first time, are the base for this unique book.
