A magnificent and fine oil on board depicting a close-up frontal view of Juan Manuel Fangio piloting the Alfa Romeo Tipo 159 at the 1951 Swiss Grand Prix. The Alfa 159 shown here at speed having just passed team-mate Dr Giuseppe Farina in the no. British 20th century artist Roger Steele has skillfully captured the speed, action and fast pace of the race, typical of his distinctive style. In excellent condition and housed in a good contemporary painted frame. The image dimensions are approximately: 17 3/4'' x 13 1/2'' (45cm x 34cm).
